Using in-house techniques, Locii Solutions has developed a new methodology that dramatically accelerates and simplifies the creation of data warehouses and ETL (Extract, Transform, Load) software. Even small organisations can now benefit from tailor made BI solutions.
In addition, Locii Insight includes a new breed of Microsoft Excel formulas that allow an unskilled user to easily link spreadsheet cells to organisational data. This Excel formula approach revolutionises the production of reporting as a user simply opens a new Excel workbook and types a formula that creates an instantaneously updating data link.
For example a user can enter product codes into cells and write a formula to return the current sales, or enter account codes and type a formula to instantaneously return the balance on the accounts. The user then saves the workbook on their hard drive and the data link is updated any time the user reopens their workbook.
